What. A. Week.
Things have not stopped here lately between traveling,
J's work schedule, and spring/Easter activities for Hugh.
I shuttled both of the kids to their doctor checkups yesterday
and with the exception of V's multiple shots {never fun},
we had great appointments- always such a blessing.
We traveled down to the Florida coast with my family a couple of weeks ago.
{I'll share some of those photos soon}
My sister and her fam all got the flu a couple of days prior so
they unfortunately didn't get to come:(
It ended up being my parents, my brother and his crew, and us four.
It was such a great time. Now that we all have kids,
seeing everyone play together is the best!
In today's post I wanted to share with you a few basics I always love to wear when I'm traveling:
1) A versatile top.
I'm all about adorable, simple details.
The Banana Republic top above is low key but still feels very put together,
with its stripes {super on-trend this season} and bow-back.
2) A great pair of shorts.
If I'm going casual, for me it's a great pair of cut-offs.
I know that's not everyone's cup of tea so find whatever
pair makes you feel your best!
3) A fun clutch.
Summer is the perfect time to throw a bright, festive clutch in the mix.
Think embroidery, tassels, and pom-poms.
4) Wedges.
This items will forevermore be included for years to come.
Go invest in a good pair now.
I love the pair I'm wearing above!
Even though they add a lot of height, they're sooo comfortable.
You could wear these guys all day.
5) A statement earring.
Accessories are the best way to add a little punch to
a low key outfit, and earrings are no exception.
I adore the pair in this look because they incorporate a lot of color,
making them work with pretty much everything in my closet:)
Hope that helps a little bit the next time you're packing for that upcoming vacation.
As always, shoot me any questions you may have!
Are there any other wardrobe staples you consider a travel must-have?
