Instagram shenanigans and Wednesday steals.

Boy, have things been crazy down south.

Most of you know about the "Snowmageddon" that's been going on.

Due to the iced roads we've been shut in our house for a couple of days.

The extra rest has been nice but hubs and I are getting a little stir-crazy.

Luckily we should be able to venture out of the house tomorrow.

Why I'm loving the hiccups.

I've heard everybody talk about feeling baby hiccups during pregnancy...
moms saying they felt them as early as 20 weeks, etc.
Nothing for this gal though. Almost 30 weeks and not a hiccup in sight.
He must have read his mama's mind because
almost everyday last week I was awaken with his hiccup-thumping goodness.
Just reminds me that there is a real little person in there,
this is no stunt-bump people;)

I haven't done an update in a while so here's what's going on with baby and me at 30 weeks:

How far along: 30 weeks 

Baby is the size of: a large eggplant

Maternity clothes: 

Lawd yes. I tried managing with larger sizes in regular clothing but that
strategy isn't so successful for the taller folks.

Sleep: 

Still varies but hasn't been too bad.

Best moment of the week:

Finally getting things accomplished with the nursery
and feeling this boy getting bigger by the day.

Miss anything: 

Sushi was wanting me baaaad this week:/

Food cravings: 

Loving sour stuff....gummies, sour straws...I'm channeling my inner 6th grader.

Anything making you queasy or sick:

So far we're good.

Have you started to show yet:

Yep.

Labor signs: No

Belly button in or out: We're currently half out/half flat as a pancake.

Wedding rings on or off: 
The rivets I had put in my engagement ring to keep it from sliding all over the place
are unfortunately not agreeing my knuckles at the moment.

Happy or moody most of the time:

Haha, the hormones have been loud and proud this week.

Looking forward to:

Getting the furniture and bedding complete.

I also of course couldn't leave you guys without sharing my pick of the week.
As spring slowly starts making its appearance I'm going
to be in major maxi need. I came across this skirt in a bold stripe and am dying...

We're halfway to the weekend...hallelujah.

This weekend is going to be a busy one though,

I'm finally getting my baby registry done.

I really have absolutely no idea where to begin but luckily

my big sister {mom to two little boys herself} will be there to guide me tell me what to register for.

If any of you have any baby items you love or can't live without

that you'd recommend, please let me know!

Hubs and I are about to whip up some breakfast for dinner 

{mama has a craving},

but before I run I wanted to share with you my Wednesday steals...

I'm completely obsessed with the gorgeous jewel tones in this crystal necklace, 

and for six bucks?! I've also been on the hunt for a great pair of

studded flats and I think I found a winner in these t-strap flats.

Lastly, I also loved this adorable striped dress. 

I can never get enough of a bold stripe,

especially with a great pop of color.

A baby boy update.

We are officially in the third trimester here, folks.

 At the beginning I felt like the weeks went be so slowly, 

but once we found out our bitty was a "he" the pregnancy has flown by.

 I can feel our little boy becoming bigger and stronger everyday.

It's truly the most remarkable experience,

growing this human being...keeping him safe until it is just the right time for him to enter the world, 

feeling his reactions, his sudden kicks and nudges when his daddy talks to my tummy.

We can't wait to meet you, our darling boy.

Only three more months.

How far along: 27 weeks 

Baby is the size of: a cauliflower

Maternity clothes: 

Definitely full blown maternity in the pants department.

Wearing lots of large sized tops and just ordered some goodies from

ASOS Maternity that I can't wait to get in!

{P.S. They're also having a huge sale right now}

Sleep: 

Comes and goes. Right now I'm averaging

going to the bathroom about 3 times a night...know that will get much worse!

Best moment of the week:

A great checkup and getting to hear sweet bitty's heart beat. Best sound ever.

Miss anything: 

Sweets! Tried to go easy on the sugar this week thinking I had my glucose

test today only to find out I take it at my next appointment. Woof.

A milkshake will be had tonight:)

Food cravings: 

Wanted fried oysters this morning. Weird.

Anything making you queasy or sick:

Sadly one of my all time fav's, black coffee.

I've resorted to iced lattes.

Have you started to show yet:

Ohhh yeah.

Sooo, I'm officially having a baby this year. Crazy!

Now that we have gotten pretty well settled from our move

it's time to get lots of "baby stuff" checked off the to-do list, especially since we are 

only 3 months away from meeting our little guy.

I literally couldn't sleep the other night thinking about how much

there is to do before he gets here, but I know we'll make it happen.

The first day of 2014 in the Kimbrough house has consisted of 

college football, a couch, and a nap {glory, Hallelujah}.

I am always about some leather, real or faux. This Faux Leather Peplum Top

comes in both cream and black and is a piece you'll be rotating year round.

I love this Midi Skirt because I cannot get over the color...so gorgeous.

They still have their winter clearance going on, so now is a great time to get some steals.
