Fur vests and getting slapped.

Let me tell you what is typical Southern weather.
The temperature is rising, the sun is shining. You think, oh ok.
It’s going to be warm weather now. Shorts and sandals make their way out of your closet.
Thoughts of swimsuits start to appear {gasp!}.

But then. Then the weather takes its big fat hand and smacks you in the face.
Enter 40 degree weather in April. The final product of all this…a fur vest in April.
Who would have thought.

 I'm sorry last week kind of sucked.

 Rupturing a disc in your back the week of the big move definitely isn't perfect timing.

After a week of bed rest, it's good to finally see you on the mend.

I know the past few days have been pretty blah, 

but the happy news is that good times are about to be had in our new pad.



{Now, if this gross weather would just go. away. Things would be on the up and up!}

I hope your Easter was full of Cadbury Eggs and Peeps. I know this girl's was!

Husband and I enjoyed our first Easter together as husband and wife.

As I write this J is watching the Master's and I'm camped out on the couch.

Being worthless and loving every minute of it.

I took these last night as I was attempting to cook dinner. {keyword attempt}

Elizabeth cooking dinner is, like last night for example, picking up a rotisserie chicken

from the grocery store and whipping up some kind of side item. Nothing too grand.

I stuck the chicken in the oven {plastic packaging and all, oven off} as I prepared to 

make some mac and cheese. In the midst of trying to cook and take these shots,

I preheated the oven to bake the mac and cheese. 

Do you think I remembered to remove the chicken from the oven? 

{remember, plastic packaging and all}

No. Definitely not.

I open my oven and there lies our poor, poor, now plastic, chicken.

See J? This is why bad things happen when your wife is in the kitchen;)

And yeah, those are faux leather pants. I'm crazy like that!

 *Love it- 2 weeks. Two weeks until husband and I are in our new home.

Perfect timing for some sun and pool lounging and frozen drinks.

*Leave it- Drivers on the interstate cruising in the left lane, under the speed limit.

You know who I'm talking about. Just scoot over! This always seems to happen when I'm in a hurry.

I gotta need for speed! This is probably God's way of telling me to slow. Down.

*Love it- Family. I spent a couple of days over the break at my parents' with the whole fam.

{sister, brother, spouses, and all three nephews}

Being with them is fun, tiring, and refreshing all at the same time. They're the best.

*Leave it- Alabama pollen. Those of you unfamiliar with the South, pollen down here is unlike

anything you've ever seen. Thick coat of yellow, everywhere.

*Love it- The Easter candy I'm about to consume this weekend. Hello, Cadbury Eggs.
